How it started?

Sustainability might be a drastic or unrealistic idea for businesses in Australia. Our local business in Melbourne Victoria was not an exception until the COVID-19 pandemic stopped the world. Watching interesting documentaries like David Attenborough’s “A Life on our Planet” (” Chasing Coral”, “Kiss the Ground”,  and “Brave Blue World”) awoke me to adapt our practices and personal lifestyles to be sustainable now- not later.

These inspirations made me start DevotedTo.Life -a global open-source, non-profit concept which aims to feature several matters including personal health and fitness; the journey of people and those we live together; and promoting a healthy and more sustainable home lifestyle. It’s like giving my bit in Melbourne and sharing.

In 2019, Australia generated 75.8 million tonnes of solid waste. Household contributes the largest plastic waste at 47%. Australians produce 540kg of household waste per person each year. One of DevotedTo.Life mission goal is to reduce plastic in the household. Our kick-starter campaign #ShareKeepCup project aims to sell existing eco-replacement solutions to poorer existing solutions.

Every half hour, Australians throw out 50,000 cups making it 2.7 million disposable coffee cups every single day and 1.2 billion coffee cups thrown out every year. Ninety percent (90%) are non-recyclable and goes to landfill.

We all share this planet. We are all responsible for its future. We want life to thrive and see our personal and work-life eco-footprint being awesome end to end. It’s time to keep your share and be DevotedTo.Life.
